Top 10 potential parks of chemical parks in China

Nangang Industrial Zone aims to become a world-class chemical new materials base, to forge ahead on the road of high-end, high-tech, and high-value-added development, and to make special efforts to build industrial chains for comprehensive utilization of olefins, new materials and high-end chemicals, lithium batteries, and clean energy. Relying on the strong industrial foundation of Tianjin, it promotes the vertical extension of upstream and downstream projects in the industrial chains such as the refining-chemical integration, and tries to form a high-end industrial system of linked development. Based on the park planning improvement results, it optimizes the spatial layout of “one core, two centers, three districts, and multiple clusters”, focuses on the construction of the new chemical materials core area, and pays close attention to clustered projects.

So far, Nangang Industrial Zone has grown into a large platform that can undertake major projects. The public engineering support system is further strengthened and the industrial gathering is accelerating. 30 projects including Sinopec LNG, Shell Lubricants, and Umicore Catalysts have been completed and put into production. 22 projects such as Sino-Saudi Polycarbonate, the relocation project of Bohai Chemical, Beijing Gas LNG, and BP Lubricants are under construction.

Steam Supply Capacity

Power Supply Capacity

7 transformer substations of different levels from 220kV to 35kV have been built, and double-power supply has been realized, so that the power consumption of 5 billion KWH/year in the park can be met.

Water Supply Capacity

A 50,000 ton/day water plant has been built, and a second-phase 50,000 ton/day expansion project is under construction; detailed design of a seawater desalination project has been completed, and it is ready for implementation; a double-water supply mode is being formed.

Waste Water Treatment

The first phase of a sewage treatment plant has been completed, with a capacity of 2,500 ton/day; the second phase of the project, with a capacity of 5,000 ton/day, is under construction.

Solid Waste Treatment

The 100,000 ton/year solid waste treatment center of Hejia Veolia, one of the three national hazardous waste disposal centers, has been put into operation.

Gradually Improved Infrastructures

The 100,000 dwt sea route has been formally opened, indicating formal opening of Nangang Port; the six 20,000 dwt general bulk cargo berths, the one 70,000 dwt general berth, the seven 50,000 dwt liquid chemical docks, the one 100,000 dwt LNG dock, and the eight working vessel berths have been put into use;

Nangang Railway is expected to open by the end of 2020, and the port-railway special line is under construction;

The Haibin Expressway has been opened, and the Tianjin-Shijiazhuang Expressway connecting Xiongan New Area is under accelerated construction;

The first-phase trunk network consisting of three longitudinal roads and four latitudinal ones has been basically formed;
