World’s Biggest EPS Producer Project Settles down in TEDA

Recently, Loyal Group, the world’s biggest EPS producer, has signed an investment cooperation agreement with TEDA. It plans to invest about 128 million US dollars in Nangang Industrial Zone to build a 400,000-ton expandable polystyrene (EPS) project. After production, the annual output value will be nearly 3.5 billion yuan, and an investment company and a trade center in North China will be founded.

Established in Taipei in 1973, Loyal Group is the biggest EPS manufacturer in the world. As the first-batch member of Tianjin Fine Chemicals and New Materials Industry (Talent) Alliance, the company signed a strategic framework agreement with TEDA at the inaugural meeting of the Alliance. With the efforts of many parties, the enterprise made a comprehensive evaluation from policies, industrial needs and supporting facilities, and finally decided to settle down in Nangang Industrial Zone.

Nangang Industrial Zone is a chemical industrial park of TEDA, and petrochemicals and new materials are nearly 100-billion-sacle industries in TEDA. After the settlement, based on the upstream styrene resources of the park, it will gradually become an important part of the extension of petrochemicals and new materials industries. It is of great significance to the upgrading of petrochemical industry in TEDA and promoting high-quality development.
