5 Leaders in Internet Hospital Settled down in Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park

On April 28, five leaders in Internet hospital including Cowell Health, Tianjin Genetron Health, LinkDoc Technology, Pacific Health and ClouDr, collectively signed contracts to settle down in  Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park, with a total investment scale of about 3 billion yuan. In the future, it will be the new landmark of digital medical industry in the park.

These Internet hospitals focus on promoting the intelligent upgrading of basic medical services, researching tumor big data, and deeply cultivating the smart health industry for chronic diseases. They empower the health industry with science and technology, and promote the continuous improvement of healthcare capacity and level. “TEDA’s construction of Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park, an important platform for the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, is in line with our development strategy in the north. In the future, the company will set up a northern headquarters here with Zhiyun Health as the main body.” The person in charge of Zhiyun Health said.

In recent years, Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park has taken the lead in adopting the mode of “self-built” entity medical institutions in North China, simplifying doctor registration procedures, improving standardized approval procedures, and opening online settlement of medical insurance, which creates a new mode of “online-offline” integrated medical services, and gathers many Internet hospitals. The cluster development of digital medical industry enterprises also strengthens the complementarity of industrial chains. In the first quarter of 2021, newly registered enterprises increased by 221.9% to 235 in Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park; the registered capital increased by 873.2% year-on-year to 8.375 billion yuan. High-tech enterprises accounted for 61.2%, and 57 national high-tech SMEs were newly added, with a year-on-year increase of 190%.
