Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park Attracts 3,000 Companies

This year marks the fifth anniversary of the establishment of Tianjin Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park, which is located in the coastal Binhai New Area.

In collaboration with Beijing’s Zhongguancun, China’s entrepreneurial and innovative hub, the innovative base is committed to building itself into a new incubator and home to scientific start-up companies in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, where it is an exemplar of coordinated innovation.

It has attracted 3,000 companies. In the past three years, more than 1,500 new companies settled in the park, with an average annual growth rate of more than 35 percent. Beijing companies accounted for one third of the new companies.

Binhai and Zhongguancun have deepened cooperation in innovation and integration of industrial resources. At the same time, the park has introduced policies and measures to help Beijing companies relocate and to promote their economic transformation and upgrading.
