One More Automaker Locates North China HQ in TEDA

On September 8th, the North China Headquarters of MINTH GROUP officially settled down in TEDA. The Group plans to build a digital plant, which will integrate smart interconnection, smart industry ecology and industrial experience, as its “future plant” in North China. This is a strategic move of MINTH aiming at further boosting its capacity in Tianjin in addition to its two existing auto parts facilities in the city.

TEDA Welcomes OTIS’ 1^st Intelligent Elevator Testing Center in China

On September 13th, Zhong Ao Intelligence Technological Development Co., Ltd. (OTDC) held a grand opening ceremony in TEDA. As the first intelligent elevator testing center invested by OTIS Elevator (China) Investment in China, the new entity will serve as a new driver for TEDA’s intelligent manufacturing.

Another Industry Leader Breaks Ground for its HQ in TEDA

On September 9th, Tianjin Emaging Technology kicked off construction for its magnetic bearing technology industrialization headquarters in TEDA. With a total investment of 700 million yuan, the new base will be the headquarters as well as R&D and production hub of the company. Incubated in TEDA, Emaging Technology is an industry leader in magnetic levitation high-speed rotating machinery, and one of the most eye-catching high-end smart manufacturers in the region.

Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Cell Valley Pilot Zone Inaugurated in TEDA

On September 17th, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Cell Valley Pilot Zone was inaugurated in TEDA. Within this framework, TEDA will specifically focus on new cell drug production represented by vaccines and small nucleic acid drugs. It is also expected to be a cell treatment and production base, a cell industry cluster comprising research and development, transformation, application and production, the headspring of frontier technologies, the benchmark for quality control standard, and the gathering point of bio segments for the cell industry in the Tianjin Binhai New Area.

China’s ^1st Respiration Digitalized Software Made in TEDA

Recently, “lung function data transmission and processing software” and “sleep breathing data transmission and processing software”, independently developed by Orange Family Technology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., obtained medical device registration certificate from the National Medical Products Administration. This TEDA-based company has therefore become the first domestic company to receive approval for respiration digitalized software.

“Made in TEDA” Paints Color Universal Beijing Resort

Universal Beijing Resort celebrated the grand opening of the Universal Studios Beijing theme park on September 20th. Paints used in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Transformers Metrobase and Minion Land are made by TEDA-based PPG Coating Tianjin Plant.

TEDA’s Innovative Approach in Circular Economy

Recently, Science and Technology Park Company, the operator of TEDA Modern Industries Zone, signed an energy supply agreement with Cabot Tianjin Plant. According to the agreement, the waste heat generated in the production process of Cabot will be reused to provide steam for other enterprises in the Zone for energy recycling. Cabot Tianjin is the global flagship factory of Cabot and the only integrated carbon black manufacturing site in the world.

Two Enterprises from TEDA Selected as the National Demo Projects

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the 2021 Big Data Industry Pilot Program List. The “Tianhe Medical and Health Big Data Industrialization Platform” of the National Supercomputer Center in Tianjin and the “Big Data Public Leasing Service Platform for New Citizens” of Bei Ke Technology Co., Ltd. were both selected as pilot programs in the big data application in their sectors. Tianjin will give key support to selected enterprises to apply for the special funds in intelligent manufacturing.

Policy of VAT General Taxpayer Qualification Pilot Project is Launched in TEDA

Recently, the domestic sales business of Markor International Furniture (Tianjin) Manufacture Co., Ltd. issued the first VAT special invoice that can be used for deduction of VAT input tax. This is the first case in the application of the policy since TEDA Comprehensive Bonded Zone was approved to carry out the VAT general taxpayer qualification pilot program, which marks the official implementation of the pilot policy.
