Global IC Leader Expands Capacity in TEDA

Recently, NXP Semiconductor (Tianjin) Ltd. finished remoulding the Phase-I of its integrated circuit testing center. The project is expected to present an intelligent plant, bring in latest products and techniques, and expand production capacity of auto chips to relieve domestic auto chip shortage.

A Global 500 Company Reinvests￥700 mln in TEDA

Hongfujin Precision Electronics (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. recently increased its registered capital to 2.46 billion yuan with a reinvestment of 700 million yuan. The capital increment will be used for production line upgrading to make its facility smarter.

As a subsidiary of Foxconn Technology Group, a Global 500 company, Hongfujin  mainly focuses on the R&D and production of cloud computing products.

Huawei Edge Computing Center Unveiled in TEDA

Huawei unveiled its “Kunpeng Ecology” Edge Computing (Tianjin) Operation Center in TEDA quite recently. As the first municipal-level computing center in Tianjin, the new Center is equipped with 1,000 servers for the 1st phase. It is expected to provide edge computing service in health, logistics, industry, e-commerce live streaming, smart community, etc. to facilitate 5G in TEDA.

Two Beijing-based Firms Settle down in Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park

Beijing Tianyi Technology Co., Ltd. and Qianxi Liyuan (Beijing) Investment Co., Ltd. signed contracts to move in Binhai-Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park. Beijing Tianyi Technology is an industrial robot developer. It will establish the Tianjin R&D and Production Center in TEDA after it moved in. Qianxi Liyuan is a comprehensive investor focusing on the development and management of commercial real estate. The company will build commercial projects to boost urban development after joining in Binhai-Zhongguancun.

A New HQ Lands in TEDA

Recently, Zhongda (Tianjin) Supply Chain Technology Co., Ltd. landed in TEDA. Serving as the headquarters, the company will join hands with Zhengzhou International Hub Development and Construction Co., Ltd. (Zhengzhou Hub Co., Ltd.) to explore the market in Tianjin and beyond, which will be the exclusive operator for the small and mid-sized stores in Tianjin. So far, it has opened its first Zhengzhou-Europe import specialty store in TEDA.

Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Pilot FTZs Think Tank Alliance Inaugurated in TEDA

Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Pilot FTZs Think Tank Alliance was inaugurated recently, with National School of Development at Peking University as its inaugural members. The Alliance is committed to providing study and consulting services for governments at all levels and enterprises at home and abroad. The mission of the school includes the collaborative innovation study of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Pilot FTZs, policy consultation, collection of research results, and academic exchanges.

86 Projects from TEDA Receive Tianjin Special Funds for Intelligent Manufacturing

Recently, Tianjin Industrial and Information Technology Bureau announced the first batch of winners of Tianjin special funds for intelligent manufacturing in 2021. TEDA hit a record high as a pacemaker in Tianjin with 86 projects on the list, accounting for nearly 30% of Tianjin’s total and over 50% of TBNA’s total. The result manifests TEDA’s solid industrial base and the progress TEDA has achieved in the transformation of manufacturing industry with smart and digital technologies.

Two Firms from TEDA on the List of Top 500 Chinese Enterprises for 2021

Recently, the list of Top 500 Chinese Enterprises for 2021 was released during the 2021 China Top 500 Enterprises Summit. The ranking was measured by annual revenue and covered 75 sectors. TEDA Investment Holdings Co., Ltd and Tianjin Rockcheck Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd were on the list.

TUST Science Park Put into Operation in TEDA

Tianjin University of Science & Technology (TUST) Science Park was officially put into operation in Binhai-Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park. Designed to become a high-quality national-level university science park, the TUST Science Park covers an area of nearly 220,000 m2. Phase I of the Park is completed with over 20 enterprises applying to move in with an expected annual output value of 2 to 3 billion yuan; a pilot industrial base for Nangang new chemical materials and an international big health tech city will be built in Phase II and Phase III.
