“Rocket Heart” HeartCon Ventricular Assist Device

The birth of HeartCon has filled the technical gap for China, with all indexes of its vitro experiments qualified for a leading technology in China and a high-end tech in the world.

“Rocket Heart” HeartCon ventricular assist device, born from the combined wisdom of medicine and engineering sectors, has already met the high-tech standard of the world. Since 2009, TEDA International Cardiovascular Hospital and China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology have carried out research in China on the third-generation artificial heart, namely implantable magnetic-hydrodynamic suspension ventricular assist device. The device was put into the special approval procedure for innovative medical devices in 2018 and was successfully implanted in two patients at TEDA International Cardiovascular Hospital in September 2020. Till then, this domestic artificial heart officially began its clinical trials.

We have obtained detailed data and rich experience. We believe that this China-made “Rocket Heart” will bring to an end the helplessness when treating the end-stage heart failure in China and bring benefits to patients and their families.
