Volkswagen Automatic Transmission Tianjin Co., Ltd. (VWATJ) held a groundbreaking ceremony in TEDA in September 2012. The new plant is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Volkswagen (China) Investment Co., Ltd. and belongs to Volkswagen Group China. Tianjin Haval Branch of Great Wall Motor Co., Ltd. was registered and established in TEDA West in April 2009 and officially put into production on August 25, 2011.
