ICBC-TEDA Fund Landed in TEDA

Tianjin ICBC-TEDA Equity Investment Fund Partnership (Limited Partnership) completed its business registration and successfully filed at the Asset Management Association of China. With a total committed capital of RMB 1 billion, the ICBC-TEDA Fund will focus on TEDA's "4+1" industrial clusters, investing in high-quality enterprises in sectors such as specialized and sophisticated SMEs, high-tech industries, and high-end equipment manufacturing that align with national strategic priorities.

Mind Tianjin Plant Begins Production in TEDA

Great Wall Motor Company Limited officially commenced production of the new Mind Thermal System and Optoelectronics project in TEDA. The plant is planned to house two specialized production facilities, optoelectronics and thermal systems, with a total investment of approximately RMB 1 billion. It primarily manufactures core components such as automotive lighting, air conditioning assemblies, cooling modules, and on-board refrigerators. On its initial production stage, Mind Tianjin Plant is scheduled to gradually commission the second-phase equipment for its thermal systems in the second half of this year. Additionally, new types of electronic components will be introduced.

Botian-Farizon Used Vehicle Remanufacturing Project Making Debut of Its First Commercial Vehicle 

A product launch event for the Botian-Farizon Used Vehicle Remanufacturing Industry Demostration Park was held in TEDA. During the event, Zhongbo (Tianjin) Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. signed strategic cooperation agreements with project distributors, suppliers, and a customs broker. The event showcased the latest R&D results, including samples of remanufactured used vehicle and  heavy-duty truck. This marks the debut of a complete remanufactured commercial vehicle following the project’s signing in 2025.

TEDA Chip Valley Inaugurated

TEDA Chip Valley was recently inaugurated. Located in the TEDA Microelectronics Innovation Industrial Park, the Valley takes the Investment and Service Building as a platform to serve the whole park. As a new engine for TEDA to upgrade its integrated circuit (IC) industry, the Valley aims to create a specialized IC park that integrates R&D, production, incubation, and services.

Phase I of CNCEC New Materials Innovation Platform Base Completed in TEDA

The completion ceremony for Phase I of the CNCEC New Materials Innovation Platform Base was held in TEDA Nangang Industrial Zone. The CNCEC New Materials Innovation Platform Base project involves a total investment of 1 billion yuan and was funded and constructed by the China Chemical Technology Research Institute. The first phase of the project that has just been completed, with an investment of 600 million yuan, primarily includes the construction of infrastructure for the innovation platform, production facilities for organic catalysts, inorganic catalysts, and related auxiliary facilities.

The Puzili Cross-Border Product Selection Center in TEDA has upgraded its positioning and kicked off investment promotion. As a core component of the TEDA Industrial Ecological Island for Cross-Border Global Deployment, the center is working to connect with over 200 high-quality resources at home and abroad, empowering regional high-end manufacturing industries through service-driven upgrades, and helping "Intelligent Manufacturing in China" efficiently expand into overseas markets.

TEDA Hosts "Firefly Plan" Medical Device Matchmaking Event

The TEDA "Firefly Plan" Innovation Achievements Series – Medical Device Special Session was successfully held. The event brought together over 100 representatives from universities, research institutes, medical institutions, tech companies, and investment and service organizations. It connected the entire chain of industry, academia, research, application, and finance in the medical device sector. The goal is to accelerate the transfer of technological innovations from the laboratory to the production line. The conference unveiled six cutting-edge innovations, including intelligent rehabilitation, early diagnosis, advanced consumables, and implantable devices.

The TEDA Green Industry Technology Matchmaking Event was successfully held. Representatives from green industry enterprises and green technology demand-side companies across Tianjin gathered to discuss green transformation, promote technology matchmaking, and explore cooperation opportunities for development. During the event, the TEDA Green Industry Handbook (2025 Edition) was officially released. The handbook provides precise guidance for enterprises in the area to facilitate green technology collaboration, implement low-carbon upgrades, and expand cooperation opportunities.

Secretary-Generals of Shanghai Provincial Chambers of Commerce Visited TEDA

A delegation of secretary-generals from various provincial chambers of commerce in Shanghai visited TEDA for inspections, exchanges, and discussions. The event aimed to establish an efficient platform for communication between Shanghai’s provincial chambers of commerce and TEDA, further promoting north-south collaboration and complementary advantages, while facilitating coordinated regional development.
