Tianjin CTF Finance Centre Recognized as the 7th Tallest Building in the World

On April 22, Tianjin Chow Tai Fook Finance Centre was certified as the tallest building in North China and the seventh tallest building in the world by CTBUH, with a height of 530 meters. Tianjin CTF Finance Centre, known as the “Diamond of the North”, covers a number of business forms such as Grade A office buildings, shopping art centers, apartments and boutique hotels. 15 British S&T Entrepreneurial Teams Displayed Their Innovations in TEDA

The 2021 Sino-British Scientific and Technological Innovation Project Online Roadshow was held in Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park, and 15 scientific and technological innovation projects from Britain, such as GenePlanet and Everledger, participated in the roadshow. These projects focus on AI, new energy and new materials, life sciences and electronic information, many of which have already enjoyed great influence in the world.

Tianjin LNG Terminal Topped in China

In the first quarter of this year, Sinopec Tianjin LNG terminal located in Nangang Industrial Zone safely received 30 special LNG carriers, unloading 1.98-million-ton LNG (2.796 billion cubic meters), up by 13.8% year-on-year. The total unloading capacity and the number of berthing ships topped all LNG terminals in service in China.

SUPER KATE left No.7-8 general berth of Tianjin Nangang Industrial Zone Ports Co., Ltd. with full cargo for Australia, which marks the completion of the first foreign trade operation for the largest general berth in Nangang Industrial Zone.

TEDA Signed Strategic Cooperation Agreement with People Data

TEDA signed a strategic cooperation agreement with People Data Management (Beijing) Co., Ltd. The two sides will establish strategic cooperative relations in the construction of offshore data center in Pilot Free Trade Zone, operation of Tianjin big data trading platform and landing of people data asset service platform. In the future, the two sides will focus on the financial big data industry, and jointly promote regional digital construction centering on the infrastructure and innovative application of big data.

6 TEDA’s Enterprises Awarded “Tianjin Green Factory”

Tianjin Industrial and Information Technology Bureau announced the list of “Tianjin Green Factories in 2020”. Six enterprises in TEDA, including Hongfujin Precision Electronics (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., were granted this honor. So far, there are 13 national-level green factories, 34 municipal-level green factories, and 71 enterprises with honors related to green manufacturing in TEDA. A green manufacturing cluster has basically taken shape.

TEDA Set up COVID-19 Vaccination Site for Expats

On April 25, the COVID-19 vaccination site for expats was put into use in TEDA Hospital. The hospital made precise arrangements in terms of information registration, staggered reservation, guidance signs and foreign language services to ensure vaccination in a safe and orderly manner. More than 600 expats were vaccinated that day.

COVID-19 Vaccines Came off Production lines at CanSino’s New Production Base

On April 25, CanSino COVID-19 vaccines rolled off the production line in its Phase III production base in TEDA. This vaccine, namely ConvideciaTM, is the Recombinant Novel Coronavirus Vaccine (Adenovirus Type 5 Vector) which is the only COVID-19 vaccine applying single-dose regime with marketing license in China so far. The production will become a robust support in the containment of new and emergent major infectious diseases.
