The 5th World Intelligence Congress Held in Tianjin with 6 New Highlights

The 5th World Intelligence Congress (WIC) was held at the Tianjin Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center from May 20 to May 23, 2021 under the theme “New Era of Intelligence: Empowering New Development, Fostering New Pattern”. A Galaxy of Mega Projects Joined TEDA

On the afternoon of May 20, the 5th World Intelligence Congress witnessed the signing of a series of mega projects. Among them, 25 high-end projects from both home and abroad joined hands with TEDA, involving a total investment of nearly 8 billion yuan and covering new economic drivers such as next-gen information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, new energy and new materials, intelligent connected vehicles as well as new infrastructure segments such as 5G base station, big data, artificial intelligence, industrial internet, intercity high-speed railway, etc.

Enterprises from TEDA Showed Intelligent Competitiveness

A galaxy of TEDA investors were invited to the Intelligent Technology Exhibition, representing a wide range of segments about industries and every-day life. Among them are Fortune 500 companies such as Novo Nordisk, indigenous innovation start-ups such as EFY Technology and SUBLUE, and in particular a series of advanced equipment projects such as the Tianhe Supercomputer and Big Rocket which received high attention on the scene.

Sinopec’s 60.3-billion-yuan Project Cluster Launched in Nangang

On May 19, the launching ceremony of Sinopec Tianjin Nangang High-end New Materials Project Cluster was held in Nangang Industrial Zone. With a total investment of 60.3 billion yuan, it includes 11 mega projects such as a 1.2-million-ton ethylene project in Nangang, a pilot base of Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry(BRICI), LNG expansion, photovoltaic new energy, etc.

The World’s Largest Pilot Base for New Chemical Materials to Be Built in TEDA

The Tianjin experimental base project of Sinopec Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry (BRICI) kicked off construction in TEDA quite recently. Once completed, it will become the world’s largest pilot base for new chemical materials, covering the widest range of research fields.

5 Leaders in Internet Hospital Settled down



Five leaders in Internet hospital including Cowell Health, Tianjin Genetron Health, LinkDoc Technology, Pacific Health and ClouDr, collectively signed contracts to settle down in Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park, with total investment of about 3 billion yuan. In the future, they will be the new landmark of digital medical industry in the park.

National SuperComputer Center Tianhe Simulation Cloud Platform 3.0 Launched

The National SuperComputer Center Tianhe Simulation Cloud Platform 3.0 was officially launched and started to operate quite recently. Tianhe Simulation Cloud Platform is a public platform for simulation services, integrating high-performance computing and visual analysis and processing. It mainly serves the fields of high-end equipment manufacturing, automotive industry, ocean engineering, aerospace, energy and chemical industry, civil engineering, etc.

AIIB Tianjin Office Put into Service in TEDA

Tianjin Office of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank officially opened in TEDA recently. This is the first office established by an international financial organization in Tianjin, and the first branch established by AIIB outside Beijing headquarters.

SEW Eurodrive (China) Investment Co., Ltd., an enterprise in TEDA, signed a cooperation framework agreement with Shenzhen SF Taisen Holdings (Group) Inc. The two sides will cooperate in the fields of sorting system drive and control solutions, domestic and international logistics transportation and resource integration, supply chain integrated service solutions, digital supply chain transformation and smart parks.
