A New Energy Heavyweight Settled in TEDA

Three Gorges (Tianjin) Energy Investment Co., Ltd. was registered in TEDA Nangang Industrial Zone. With a registered capital of RMB 1 billion, the company is primarily responsible for the overall layout of the clean energy sector and the investment in new energy projects of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) in Tianjin. It aims to build a base in Tianjin for the R&D, innovation, and service support of CTG’s new energy sector.

China’s First Otsuka Aseptic Line Plant Broke Ground in TEDA

Tianjin Otsuka Beverage Co., Ltd. held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Aseptic Line Plant of Pocari Sweat in TEDA East. This project marks the first aseptic production line invested by Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. in China, covering an area of about 30,000 square meters. The production line will introduce the fastest production equipment within Otsuka, with commercial production expected to begin in 2026.

TEDA Enterprise Asymchem Inaugurated Its First European R&D and Manufacturing Base

TEDA enterprise Asymchem Laboratories (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. held the grand opening of its Sandwich R&D and Manufacturing Base in the UK. This marks the commencement of operations of Asymchem’s first European R&D and manufacturing base. As a key part of the company’s global strategic layout, the base will further support and enhance the global supply chain system for Asymchem to meet the wider range of needs of drug R&D and production for Asymechem’s global partners.

A Joint Laboratory of Genomic Nucleic Acid Technology Launched in TEDA

The “Nankai University – Cosychem” Joint Laboratory of Genomic Nucleic Acid Technology was launched in TEDA. The joint laboratory, established by Nankai University, Cosychem Technology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., and Tianjin International Joint Academy of Biomedicine (TJAB), aims to develop a public service platform of technology for general nucleic acid. It will focus on basic research and application of genomic nucleic acid technology, particularly on unlocking the potential of emerging nucleic acid technologies for disease treatment.

TEDA Welcomes a New Industrial Park!

Tianjin Rongsheng JiaHui Industrial Park was put into operation in TEDA after it was completed. The Park covers a total area of 24,000 square meters and features 4 comprehensive buildings to meet the needs of various industries. The Park will focus on areas such as biomedicine, scientific R&D, intelligent manufacturing, and the digital economy to create an innovation-centered high-tech industrial cluster.

China’s First System Basis Chip to Pass C&S Certification at CAN SIC Level

TEDA enterprise OmniVision North China IC Ltd. launched its self-developed automotive Mini SBC OKX0210. The device passed the interoperability test at CAN SIC level by C&S (Communication & System) Group GmbH. This is China’s first C&S-certified system basis chip (SBC) product with CAN Signal Improvement Capability (SIC). OKX0210 is capable of interconnecting with upstream and downstream devices on the CAN bus, communicating directly with other C&S-certified CAN transceivers, and handling complex topologies with CAN FD up to 5Mbit/s.

TEDA Intelligent Human-Machine Interaction Center Inaugurated

During the 2nd National Conference on Virtual Reality Integration & Interaction, TEDA Intelligent Human-Machine Interaction Center of Haihe Laboratory of Brain-Computer Interaction and Human-Machine Integration was inaugurated. The center was jointly initiated by Haihe Laboratory of Brain-Computer Interaction and Human-Machine Integration and TEDA Administrative Commission. It will focus on core technologies for intelligent human-machine interaction and the R&D of software and hardware products. It aims to promote the construction of a common technology platform, a pilot testing platform, and an industrial empowerment platform to establish a characteristic innovation laboratory and an industrial technology center with significant demonstration effects.

The 2024 TEDA Auto Forum Is Coming!

The 2024 International Forum (TEDA) on Chinese Automotive Industry Development (IFCAID) will take place from 29th August to 1st September in TEDA. Over the past 19 years of development and innovation, IFCAID has become a leading indicator of automotive industry development. This year’s forum is themed “Building on the Extraordinary Twenty Years and Working Together for a Shared Future”. More than a thousand distinguished guests, including government officials, senior executives of enterprises, and authoritative experts and scholars, are expected to attend the forum, offering insights and recommendations for the future of the automotive industry.
