Botian Industrial Park for Emergency Hydrogen Equipment Settled in TEDA

A tripartite cooperation agreement was signed in a ceremony for Botian Industrial Park of Emergency Hydrogen Equipment, which marked the settlement of the project in TEDA. Botian Park is located at TEDA Industrial Park, with a total investment of 628 million yuan and covering an area of over 170 mu. The project will include a production line for hydrogen-powered vehicles, which will have the capacity to produce chassis and specialized vehicle components for 2,000 new energy meidum and heavy trucks annually once completed. Going forward, Botian Park will continue to attract upstream and downstream suppliers to the region.

Zigtoo China Headquarters for Intelligent Valve Breaks Ground in TEDA

The ground breaking ceremony for the Zigtoo Intelligent Valve China Headquarters was held in TEDA West. The project, with a total investment of 124 million RMB, was invested by Zigtoo Water Industry (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. It will focus on the production of high-end valves. Zigtoo, with its brand originated from UK and starting up as a manufacturer of valve products for the oil, gas, and chemical industries, is known in the global industrial community for its fluid control technology.

Sinopec’s Tianjin New Materials Production Base Begins Production

The Tianjin New Materials Production Base (Phase I) project of Sinopec’s Catalyst Company was put into production in TEDA Nangang Industrial Zone. With a total investment exceeding 5 billion yuan, the first phase of the project focuses on the construction of silver catalyst and polyolefin catalyst production units as well as auxiliary facilities. The Base is home to China’s first intelligent production line of its kind and is planning to be one of the world’s most advanced production bases for catalyst new materials. Additionally, the second and third phases are under construction.

KingSung Medical Headquarters Opens in TEDA

The R&D and production headquarters of KingSung Medical Group was put into operation in TEDA West. The headquarters, with a total investment of RMB 138 million, is equipped with advanced performance testing laboratories, biological, physical and chemical laboratories, and a technology verification center. It is aimed to create a world-class R&D platform that provides strong support for the R&D in four major technological areas: mechanical design, polymer materials, degradable magnesium alloy materials, and enzymatic decellularized materials, as well as the fostering of innovative R&D projects.

FAW-Volkswagen’s Tianjin Branch Rolls Out All-new Tayron L

A debut ceremony for the all-new Tayron L was held at the Tianjin plant of FAW-Volkswagen. The new Tayron L not only features larger body dimensions but also boasts redesigned exteriors and interiors. Particularly in terms of smart features, the vehicle’s driving assistance system, parking assistance system, and other technologies have been upgraded, significantly improving its safety, operability, and comfort. The Tayron L upgrade project has an investment of over 2 billion yuan, with numerous new pieces of equipment added. The project will make FAW-Volkswagen Tianjin Base smarter, and further improve the automotive industrial chain in TEDA.

TEDA-made ZipBank Fills Domestic Gap

The TEDA-based Tianjin Joint Optic Technology Co., Ltd. showcased its latest product, the Video Intelligent Computing (Compression) Switch, at the 17th (2024) China International Exhibition on Public Safety and Security. This product, known as the “ZipBank”, is capable of alleviating network and storage pressure. This capability can reduce data storage volume by up to 90%. The product fills the gap in lossless compression in China’s network video sector.

TEDA Signs Multiple Cooperation Agreements at Heavyweight Financial Forum

The sub-forum of 2024 Tianjin Wudadao Forum on Industrial Digital Finance was successfully held. During the forum, Tianjin’s Hexi District joined hands with the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA), holding a strategic cooperation signing ceremony under the Cooperation Plan of Financial Industry Landmark Zone and Industrial Finance Development Zone. The two sides will establish a mechanism for joint investment promotion and project-sharing. TEDA also signed strategic cooperation agreements with the National Internet Finance Association of China (NIFA), Tianjin Industry and Information Technology Institute (TJIITI), Kincheng Bank, and China Enterprise Cloud Chain (CSCC) on building an industrial digital finance development zone. These cooperations will help TEDA achieve leap-forward advancements in industrial digital finance.
