TEDA Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park Welcomes 7 Key Projects

TEDA Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park hosted a signing ceremony for key projects. Seven projects settled down, including Digital Intelligence Tier (Tianjin)’s Liquid Cooling Intelligent Computing Integrated Equipment R&D and Production Base, COSL’s Oilfield Service Capability Support Center, Handeson (Tianjin)’s Resource Recycling Innovation Center, ILE’s Pharmaceutical Excipient R&D and Production Base, and Good Doctors (Tianjin)’s Network Technology Project. These projects focus on multiple fields such as artificial intelligence, new energy and new materials, biopharmaceuticals, and practical training services.

One More Industry-Education Base Joins TEDA

The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Unmanned Intelligent Equipment Industry-Education Integration Base settled down at Yat-sen Intelligence & Innovation Park in TEDA. With a total investment of 130 million yuan, the project will mainly focus on industry-education integration and practical training of unmanned intelligent equipment, development and testing of unmanned intelligent technologies, and professional and skilled talent cultivation. It is aimed to become a comprehensive industry-education integration base and a vital resource platform for low-altitude economy and underwater economy.

A New Representative Office Cluster Established in TEDA

An exchange seminar for the establishment of Overseas Chinese Science and Technology Association Representative Office Cluster was held, during which the Overseas Chinese Science and Technology Association Representative Office Cluster (Tianjin) settled down in TEDA Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park. Through policy innovation, integrated services, and demand-supply alignment, the cluster will effectively facilitate international academic exchanges, technological cooperation, the introduction of overseas talents, technology transfer, and enterprise incubation. It will provide intellectual and talent support for the development of TEDA and Tianjin.‍

NEV Product Rolled Out by Tianjin Aisin in TEDA

M190, the new NEV reducer product of Tianjin Aisin Automatic Transmission Co., Ltd., rolled off the production line, for which a launch ceremony was held in TEDA. With a total investment of RMB 50 million, the production line is expected to achieve a production capacity of 23,000 units per month upon full operation. The M190 is a type of reducer product designed for a new model under the FAW Hongqi brand. Featuring a small but powerful design, its compact size is less than half that of traditional drive systems with equivalent power output.

TEDA-based Company Rolls Out China’s 1st 300-Ton AGV

TEDA-based Tianjin LonYu Robotics Co., Ltd. unveiled China’s first 300T omnidirectional outdoor heavy-duty AGV, named Chuangyu, which is capable of handling 300 tons of heavy materials. It incorporates advanced unmanned driving technology, combined with high-precision positioning systems, intelligent sensing devices, and precise control systems. These features enable it to autonomously navigate, avoid obstacles, and plan paths in complex and dynamic outdoor environments.

China’s Largest LNG Carrier Unloaded at TEDA Nangang

The Tianjin LNG Receiving Terminal of SINOPEC Natural Gas Company in TEDA Nangang Industrial Zone successfully unloaded the “Greenergy Ocean”, China’s largest LNG carrier of its kind. The “Greenergy Ocean” ship has a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas, which is sufficient to meet the gas needs of approximately 7 million households for one month. Since the start of the 2024–2025 heating season, the Tianjin LNG Receiving Terminal has cumulatively unloaded 14 LNG carriers, and gasified and transported 1.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas, providing a solid foundation for winter gas supplies in North China.

Transaction Volume of Tianjin International Petroleum & Gas Exchange Center Surpasses ¥10 Bln 

At 2:35 PM on January 15, the cumulative transaction volume of the Tianjin International Petroleum & Gas Exchange Center surpassed 10 billion RMB. Dedicated to providing transparent and regular spot trading and delivery services for buyers and sellers of petroleum and gas commodities and services, the center has registered 860 customers since its trial operation began in late December 2023. With an average daily transaction volume exceeding 218 million RMB, it has become the largest LNG trading hub in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

3 TEDA-based Companies To Establish Innovation Consortia

Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Bureau recently announced the latest batch of approved innovation consortia in Tianjin. 12 initiating companies were on the list. Among these, 3 TEDA-based tech enterprises, namely, CNPC BOHAI Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., CanSino Biologics Inc., and PipeChina Engineering Technology Innovation Co., Ltd., were approved to establish 3 consortia. These consortia will focus on cutting-edge fields such as carbon capture and utilization, nucleic acid vaccines and drugs, and oil and gas storage and transportation.
