It will focus on the R&D of innovative liquid chromatography columns and sample pre-treatment consumables, dedicated to achieve technological breakthroughs in separation science solutions.
One More Listed Company Joins TEDA
A new EHS service platform for the biopharmaceutical industry was unveiled in TEDA. This platform is a collaboration between Tianjin International Joint Academy of Biomedicine and Shanghai Emperor of Cleaning Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. (ECH), providing safe, efficient, and compliant solutions for wastewater, exhaust gas, and hazardous waste treatment. In February, 2025, ECH established its wholly-owned subsidiary, Tianjin Jinshui Cleaning Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., in TEDA, which is the operator of this EHS service platform.
New Materials Project Breaks Ground in TEDA
CNOOC Tianjin Chemical Research & Design Institute Co., Ltd. began construction of the Phase I of its New Materials Base in TEDA. With a total investment of 290 million RMB, the first phase includes the construction of a 5,000-ton-per-year catalyst production line for catalytic converter of heavy oil. Once operational, the project will establish an innovative refining and new chemical materials production system with CNOOC’s characteristics, driving the transformation and upgrading of the refining industry.
TI Automotive Tianjin’s Begins Production of New Product
TEDA-based TI Automotive (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. began production of TI Fluid Systems’ newly developed 12V Electric Coolant Pump (eCP) for next-generation battery electric vehicles (BEVs). This marks the rollout of the globally first fully automated production line of TI Fluid Systems. The eCP will provide refined thermal management, environmental-friendly design and cost optimization to redefine the performance and efficiency standards of electric vehicles, thereby helping global automakers accelerate electrification transition.
China’s 1st Batch of 200kW Hydrogen-powered Trucks Rolls Out in TEDA
The first batch of 200kW hydrogen-fueled heavy-duty trucks, jointly developed by Geely Farizon and Rockcheck FuturEnergy, rolled off the production line in TEDA. These 100 vehicles are the first of its kind in China to be mass-produced and launched, marking a milestone in the commercialization of high-power hydrogen-powered trucks in China. Once launched, these trucks will support hydrogen-powered port logistics at Tianjin Port and Huanghua Port, further extending operations to Chengde in Hebei, Changzhi in Shanxi, Baotou in Inner Mongolia, etc.
Multiple UAV Test Flight Areas Approved in TEDA
Several industrial parks in TEDA have been approved for UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) test flight areas, including Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Unmanned Intelligent Industry-Education Integration Base at Yat-sen Intelligence & Innovation Park, Intelligent Unmanned Equipment Industrial Park, and Beitangwan Digital Economy Industrial Park. These areas, with a maximum flight altitude of 120 meters, can meet the demand of various UAV application scenarios such as research and testing, flight training, and logistics distribution. Within these areas, supporting infrastructure such as UAV take-off and landing points, communication and navigation facilities, and meteorological monitoring stations will be established to ensure safe flight of UAVs.
