HydraSpecma’s New Base in TEDA

The Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) Administrative Commission signed a Memorandum of Investment Cooperation with HydraSpecma A/S in Copenhagen, Denmark, marking the establishment of the new production base of HydraSpecma A/S Hydraulic Systems (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. in TEDA. Located in the West Zone of TEDA, the project covers a site area of 43,000 square meters with a total floor area of 42,000 square meters. Leveraging economies of scale to significantly expand production capacity, it is scheduled for production in June 2026.

Two Subsidiaries of China Resources Recycling Group Settle in TEDA

China Resources Recycling Group Plastic Recycling Co., Ltd. and China Resources Recycling Group Motor Vehicle Co., Ltd. settled down in TEDA. Plastic Recycling Co., Ltd., as a secondary headquarters of China Resources Recycling Group, with a registered capital of 1 billion yuan, will mainly focus on businesses related to the plastic recycling industrial chain. Motor Vehicle Co., Ltd., as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Group, with a registered capital of 1 billion yuan, aims to develop vehicle recycling businesses by targeting three strategic directions, namely, full-chain integration of motor vehicle resources, strategic support for national resource security, and restructuring of industry norms and ecosystems. 

Ausell Sets up PCR Plastic Zero-carbon Plant in TEDA

Shanghai Ausell Material Technology Co., Ltd. officially signed an investment cooperation letter of intent with TEDA to build a project of intelligent precision sorting and high-end pelletization digital zero-carbon plant for PCR plastics in the area. With a total investment of 300 million yuan, the project will achieve an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons of PCR plastics upon full completion. The first phase, with an investment of 100 million yuan, will yield 50,000 tons of PCR plastics annually after commissioning. The project will collaborate with globally renowned industrial chain partners to advance closed-loop recycling for automotive plastics, further aligning Chinese manufacturing with international ESG standards.

OTAi Doubles Capacity in TEDA with New Environmental Intelligence Production Lines

The environmental intelligence production line of BNBM OTAi Polymer Waterproof System (Tianjin ) Co., Ltd was completed and put into operation in TEDA. On the same day, the new construction project of OTAi Polymer Waterproofing Materials started. This project will include a modern factory and two high-quality environmental intelligence production lines, which are expected to be put into use in 2026. Upon completion, the production capacity of OTAi Polymer Waterproofing Materials will nearly double.

Software Testing Center of Tianjin (Binhai) Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center Obtains CNAS Accreditation

The Software Testing Center of Tianjin (Binhai) Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center, located in TEDA, obtained a laboratory accreditation certificate issued by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), marking that the Center has been acknowledged nationwide and beyond for its software testing capabilities. CNAS is a national authoritative accreditation body officially authorized by the National Certification and Accreditation Administration of China. With high authority and credibility worldwide, its accreditation results can be mutually recognized across multiple countries and regions.

Another Core Product of TEDA-based Century Healthcare Enters Clinical Use

The Single Use IOL Cartridge independently developed by Tianjin Century Healthcare Biomedical Engineering Co., Ltd. a company located in TEDA, has been put into clinical use. Approved for market sales in February, this product is currently the only approved product of its kind in Tianjin. The company is one of the only four enterprises nationwide whose similar products have received market approval. Leveraging the company’s proprietary patented technologies, this product has successfully resolved multiple bottlenecks of traditional surgical instruments, ensuring both safety and efficiency for intraocular lens implantation surgeries.

10-year Achievements of TJFTZ

Tianjin has unveiled the 10-year achievements of the China (Tianjin) Pilot Free Trade Zone. Over the past decade, the zone has launched 686 institutional innovation initiatives and 49 achievements for replication and promotion, accounting for 14.2% nationwide. The zone’s institutional innovation index ranks in the top three among all FTZs in China for consecutive years. Within the zone, there are nearly 90,000 business entities. Despite occupying only 1% of Tianjin’s land area, the FTZ has contributed 26% of the city’s newly established foreign-invested enterprises, 38% of its import and export volume, 43% of its actual utilized foreign capital, and 16% of its tax revenue.

China’s 1st Int’l Business Liaison Station

China’s first international business liaison station, the Tianjin Binhai New Area International Business Liaison Station, was inaugurated in TEDA. The station integrates resources from government departments, business associations, and professional service providers, seamlessly linking TEDA’s services with global opportunities. This will help enterprises going global enjoy comprehensive support services from strategic planning to practical implementation, enabling more TEDA brands to shine on the international stage. Additionally, the station will serve as the first stop for high-quality overseas projects and investments entering TEDA.
