The Economic and Trade Exchange Forum for the 45th Anniversary of Tianjin-Melbourne Sister City Partnership (Invest in TEDA) was held at the Melbourne Town Hall, Australia. At the conference, TEDA Administrative Commission signed an agreement with Australian company Pyrosales Pty Ltd. to introduce the company’s first industrial sensor R&D and manufacturing base in China. Boman Group Limited signed strategic cooperation agreements with the Industry and Finance Development Promotion Bureau of TEDA and Tianjin RockCheck Tewoo Corporation, centering on in-depth cooperation in investment and financing connection, mergers and acquisitions, and bank-enterprise collaboration.
Sinopec Establishes Subsidiary in TEDA
Tianjin Xingpu Fine Chemical Technology Development Co., Ltd., a third-level subsidiary of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation, was registered and established in TEDA. Tianjin Xingpu will leverage the pilot production area of Sinopec Research Institute of Petrochemical Processing (RIPP) Tianjin Scientific Experiment Base to finish a closed-loop for technology transformation via the Nangang research and pilot-scale experiment platform. It will focus on the R&D, production and sales of high-tech products such as special lubricating oils and high-end chemicals, and is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in October this year.
Changchun Adient Automotive Metal Components Project Launched in TEDA
The Changchun Faway Adient Automotive Metal Components Project, situated in the FAW-Volkswagen North China Base in TEDA, was put into production and started batch supply. The project covers an area of 2,000 square meters and is divided into three areas: welding, assembly, and noise detection. Its main products are front seat frame assembly components, with an expected annual production capacity of 100,000 units this year. It will greatly improve the local production capacity of automotive components.
Nippon Paint Launches Its Largest Global Automotive Coatings Production Base in TEDA
Tianjin Changlu Fluorochemicals Co., Ltd. started the construction of the 2nd phase of fluorine-containing organic new material industrialization project at Nangang Industrial Zone in TEDA. With an investment of 500 million yuan in the first phase, it will build two sets of hydrofluoroether equipment and auxiliary facilities. It aims to establish a fluorochemical innovation base with international influence and a global hub for the high-end fluorochemical industry chain.
PPG Automotive Color Creation Studio Put into Operation at TEDA
The Automotive Color Creation Studio was launched within the PPG Global Coatings Innovation Center in TEDA. The studio is equipped with global-leading equipment and technical platforms, which is dedicated to providing comprehensive color innovation solutions for automotive enterprises. The launch of this studio is not only an important strategic move by PPG in the Chinese market but also a milestone in its in-depth layout in the field of new energy vehicles.
Sinopec BRICI in TEDA Selected into China’s First Batch of Pilot Platforms
The Tianjin Base Pilot Platform for Chemical Materials of Sinopec Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry (BRICI) in TEDA was selected as one of the first batch of key pilot platforms by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), which boasts one of the 25 key pilot platforms for petrochemical industry in MIIT. Situated in TEDA, Sinopec BRICI represents an important part of the Sinopec Nangang high-end new materials industry cluster project. This project, along with the Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Engineering Oilfield Chemicals Commercialization Center (Tianjin) project and Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Processing program, collectively form a technological R&D hub for the entire process of petroleum extraction, refining, and chemical engineering in the Nangang Industrial Zone.
TEDA Organized Foreign Talents Pre-job Training
TEDA organized the 2025 Online Pre-job Series Training for Foreigners, providing training in English, Japanese, and Korean. It not only covered professional knowledge such as national and Tianjin municipal laws and regulations regarding foreign employment and residence but also included introductions to the history, culture, and local customs of Tianjin. This multi-dimensional approach aims to help foreign talents integrate into TEDA.

The TEDA 2025 World Environment Day activities were officially unveiled.
