Li Auto Lands Tianjin Charging Network Investment and Operation HQ in TEDA

The Tianjin Investment and Operation Headquarters of Li Auto’s charging network was officially established in TEDA. This marks a new breakthrough for TEDA in the development of new energy infrastructure and industrial ecosystems. The project plans to continuously invest in the construction of intelligent supercharging stations in Tianjin, creating an extensive and efficient charging network. It will also conduct research on cutting-edge topics such as the upgrading of charging station technology and smart energy management, promoting innovative development in this field.

Novo Nordisk Launches RMB 800 Million in Tianjin Manufacturing Plant Laboratory Expansion Project

Novo Nordisk signed a Memorandum of Understanding with TEDA Administrative Commission, agreeing to invest approximately RMB 800 million in the expansion of quality testing laboratories at its Tianjin manufacturing plant. With a total floor area of approximately 18,000 square meters, the project will include chemical, microbiological, and biological laboratories, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026. 

Globally-leading Indian IT Company Launches Tianjin Delivery Center in TEDA

The memorandum of cooperation signing ceremony for the Wipro Tianjin Software and Information Technology Service Center project was held in TEDA. Headquartered in India, the Wipro Limited is a global leader in technology services and consulting. With a total investment of 16.25 million US dollars, the Tianjin delivery center is the fourth delivery center established by Wipro in China. Once operational, it will provide high-quality software and information technology services to enterprises in North China, especially in Tianjin.

CITIC Financial Leasing Reinvests 6 Billion Yuan to TEDA, Increasing Registered Capital to 10 Billion Yuan

CITIC Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. received approval for its 6 billion yuan capital injection, bringing its total registered capital to 10 billion yuan. This makes it the second financial leasing company in Tianjin and the tenth in China to reach a registered capital size of 10 billion yuan. Following this capital increase, CITIC Financial Leasing plans to expand its business in areas such as green leasing and high-end equipment, further enhancing its ability to serve the real economy.

Tianjin JD Consumer Finance’s Four Centers Land in TEDA

Tianjin Jingdong Consumer Finance Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as “JD Consumer Finance”) held its inauguration in TEDA. JD Consumer Finance will deploy a team of about 200 people to build operational, data, risk control, and R&D centers. Based in Tianjin and TEDA, it aims to serve the whole country. The company will focus on the integration of finance, consumption and technology. It will explore into five major areas -- technology finance, green finance, inclusive finance, pension finance, and digital finance, accelerating the creation of a new benchmark in consumer finance.

Two Energy Technology Headquarters Projects Land in TEDA

The Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) announced significant advancements in its energy technology sector with the establishment of two major headquarters projects. Beijing Orient Huazhi Petroleum Engineering Co., Ltd. has established its headquarters in the area, while Tianjin Hongbo Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. has completed construction of its North China production and R&D headquarters base. Representing a total investment of 500 million yuan, the two projects are expected to generate over 1 billion yuan in annual revenue once fully operational. These projects will help establish a complete industrial ecosystem in the region, encompassing R&D, smart manufacturing, and engineering services.

MSTN Technology SCR Denitration Catalyst Project Puts into Operation in TEDA

The commissioning ceremony of MSTN SCR denitration catalyst project and the launch of its industry-academia-research collaboration was held in TEDA Nangang Industrial Zone in Tianjin. The MSTN’s production line, with an annual capacity of 3,000 cubic meters of SCR denitration catalyst, was officially put into operation. It will form a complete upstream and downstream industrial chain with local companies such as Umicore and Tianjin Passion Advanced Materials Technology, further strengthening TEDA’s competitiveness of the environmental protection catalysis industry. At the commissioning ceremony, MSTN Technology and Hebei University of Technology officially initiated the industry-academia-research cooperation.

Leading Smart Technology Enterprises from Greater Bay Area and TEDA Hold Closed-Door Meeting in Shenzhen

A closed-door meeting for leading smart technology enterprises from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) was successfully held on July 10th in Futian District of Shenzhen. Organized by the TEDA Administrative Commission and coordinated by the TEDA Greater Bay Area Industrial Collaboration Center, the event aimed at establishing an efficient and precise platform for government-enterprise communication and deepening industrial synergy between the two regions in the smart technology sector. During the meeting, a delegation from TEDA held in-depth discussions with more than 20 leading smart technology companies from Shenzhen.

TEDA Shares 10-year FTZ Experience on EICN’s Theme Activity

The Shanghai Economist Intelligence Corporate Network (EICN) organized an activity themed as “From the East to the World -- Global Rise of Chinese Enterprises”. It gathers main leaders from over 80 foreign enterprises such as Adidas, Amazon, Lanxess, HPE, Deloitte, Kuehne & Nagel, 3M, Parker Hannifin, Samsung, and Schindler. As a collaborative member of EICN, TEDA Steering Office of Investment Promotion was invited to participate and share FTZ experience.
