BENEFO and Otis Establish New Joint Venture in TEDA

Tianjin BENEFO Machinery Equipment Group Co., Ltd. and Otis Worldwide Corporation will jointly establish a new joint venture in the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA). The joint venture, controlled by BENEFO, will focus on the modernization, renovation, and lifecycle services of aging elevators, aiming to create a “Tianjin Model” in this sector and promote it nationwide. The new company is expected to be registered and established in September.

Botian-Farizon Pre-owned Vehicle Remanufacturing Industry Demonstration Park Project Settles down in TEDA

The Botian-Farizon Pre-owned Vehicle Remanufacturing Industry Demonstration Park Project, with a total investment of approximately 581 million yuan, has officially been launched in TEDA Industrial Park. The demonstration park will focus on commercial vehicle remanufacturing, including categories such as light trucks, heavy trucks, buses, and special-purpose vehicles, with an expected annual production capacity of 7,500 units. The Park will integrate functions like production, testing, warehousing, and logistics, to create a full-industry-chain closed loop for refurbishing core components like traction batteries, drive motors, and electronic control units (ECUs) through vehicle restoration and disassembly for remanufacturing.

TEDA Industrial Park Manufacturing Incubation Base Officially Opens

The manufacturing incubation base in TEDA Industrial Park officially opened. Covering 92,000 m², the base is positioned to serve large, medium and small-scale enterprises in automotive components sectors and smart equipment manufacturers, offering advanced-manufacturing incubation together with cutting-edge technology and talent training programs. At present, the first batch of companies have moved in, including the RANDYS and Xinwutong.

Boxin Microelectronics Packaging Plant Put into Operation

Boxin Microelectronics (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. commenced operations in the Microelectronics Innovation Industrial Park of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA). The company focuses on DFN and QFN packaging, with products mainly consisting of power protection chips. After reaching target output, the plant is expected to achieve a monthly packaging output of over 200 million chips. In addition, the company also plans to expand into advanced packaging sample lines using flip chip processes, power SiC and GaN chip packaging, RF modules, and audio amplifier IC modules, with its business gradually evolving from miniaturized to advanced packaging.

12 Companies in TEDA Added to Green Munufacturing Company List in Tianjin

In the List of 2024 Tianjin Green Manufacturers released by the Tianjin Industrial and Information Technology Bureau, 12 enterprises from the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) were included—ranking top among all districts in the city. Among them, 11 companies represented by Tianjin Intex Auto Parts Co., Ltd., were selected as Tianjin Green Factories, while Nobo Automotive Systems (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. claimed the title of Tianjin Green Supply Chain Enterprise, highlighting TEDA’s robust performance in the field of green manufacturing.

TEDA-based Companies Win Global Chemical Industry Awards

At the 12th World Congress of Chemical Engineering (WCCE12), five TEDA-based enterprises including Tianjin Bohai Chemical Industry Group, Ausell Material Technology (Tianjin), Tianjin Conservation Technology, Tianjin Passion Advanced Material Technology, and Tianjin KDD Technology won the Best Product Breakthrough Awards in International Chemical Engineering Innovation Expo 2025. The WCCE, known as the “Olympics” of the chemical engineering industry, was held in China for the first time.

CanSinoBIO Wins the First Prize of Tianjin Science and Technology Progress Award

The project “Key Technology and Industrialization of Polysaccharide-Protein Conjugate Vaccines”, independently developed by Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area enterprise CanSino Biologics Inc., has been awarded the first prize in Tianjin's Science and Technology Progress Award. The core breakthrough of this project—polysaccharide-protein conjugate technology—is one of the world's leading vaccine technologies, effectively overcoming the limitations of traditional polysaccharide vaccines, such as short immune memory duration and insufficient protection for infants.

China and Germany Enterprises Gather in TEDA for Automotive Innovation and Collaboration

The 2025 China-Germany Automotive Innovation Cooperation Summit & Innovation Cooperation Matchmaking Event was successfully held in TEDA. The event was joined by a German automotive industry delegation made up of the German Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade (BWA) and ten leading German companies in automotive components, intelligent manufacturing, electronics, and consulting, together with about 90 key enterprises from TEDA’s automotive and intelligent manufacturing sectors, aiming to deepen pragmatic cooperation between China’s and Germany’s automotive industries in areas such as technological innovation, intelligent manufacturing, supply chain collaboration, and market expansion.
