2026 International Forum (TEDA) on Chinese Automotive Industry Development to be Held this September

On May 13, the press conference for the 2026 International Forum (TEDA) on Chinese Automotive Industry Development was held. Centered on the annual theme "Intelligent Green Foundation, Ecological Momentum, and Collaborative Win-Win", the forum is scheduled to take place in TEDA from September 17 to 20, 2026. The event featured addresses by An Tiecheng, Party Secretary and Chairman of the China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC), Zhao Lijin, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Society of Automotive Engineers, He Yi, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Xie Rongbin, Party Secretary, Chairman, and Editor-in-Chief of the China Energy and Automotive Communication Group and President of China Automotive News, Jin Xianghua, Vice Chair of the TEDA Administrative Commission, and Xu Yanhua, Secretary-General of the China Automotive Battery Innovation Alliance. The conference was moderated by Li Wei, Party Committee member and Deputy General Manager of CATARC.

Jin Xianghua, Vice Chair of the TEDA Administrative Commission, highlighted TEDA's latest initiatives in fostering synergy between vehicle manufacturers and component suppliers, establishing value chains for global expansion, and advancing the green economy.
This year's forum introduces four innovative initiatives: launching "Four Themed Days", curating a think-tank matrix of "Flagship Reports and Thematic Reports", aligning sessions and activities with ecological integration, and collaborating with CCTV.com to feature unique forum segments. These multidimensional upgrades further solidify the forum's status as a premier industry benchmark and an empowering force for high-end think tanks.
In terms of agenda planning, the forum features a rich program of "17+N" sessions and sideline activities. Centered on the development goals of the "15th Five-Year Plan", the agenda highlights three high-level dialogues, including an opening plenary, a high-end vision session, and a closed-door think-tank meeting. Furthermore, the forum will host six ecosystem-specific sessions focused on new technologies, emerging sectors, and innovative scenarios, alongside eight thematic forums designed to accelerate the automotive industry's upward trajectory. The forum will also feature a series of specialized events focused on cutting-edge technologies and industrial ecosystems, showcasing breakthrough autonomous innovations from both enterprises and regional governments, thereby stimulating collaborative innovation across diverse fields and industries.
