The Egypt Workstation, located in Port Said Province, is represented by its cooperative institution "China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (SETC-Zone)," which signed an agreement with the base on May 28, 2025.
The SETC-Zone is the second batch of national-level overseas economic and trade cooperation zones approved by the Chinese government. It is also currently the most important economic and trade cooperation platform for China in Egypt and even North Africa. Hailed as a pearl project under the "Belt and Road" initiative, it is a model of strategic matchmaking between China and Egypt.
The workstation provides services such as industrial inspection activities and investment promotion, overseas market expansion and related services, regular seminars and exchanges, and the establishment of bonded commodity exhibition areas.
