Introduction

TEDA West is located between the downtown Tianjin and Binhai New Area. With convenient road transport network, TEDA West enjoys the resources of the “two cities” at the same time; the Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway, the Tianjin-Binhai Expressway and the Tangshan-Tianjin Expressway pass through TEDA West, and TEDA West is close to Tianjin Airport, Binhai West High-speed Railway Station and Tianjin Port, showing remarkable advantages in transportation and location.

Chunhua Road, Xiaqing Road, Qiushi Road, Dongxu Road and Zhongxinzhuang Road are five main roads running through the north and south of TEDA West. At the same time, Zhongxinzhuang Road, Qiushi Road and Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway divide TEDA West into six divisions, respectively the northeast division, the southeast division, the central north division, the central south division, the northwest division and the southwest division.

Up to the end of 2019, there were totally 349 registered enterprises in TEDA West, including 91 enterprises with annualrevenue of more than 20 million yuan. Among them, 6 enterprises had an annual output value of more than 10 billion yuan, 12 enterprises had an annual output value of more than 1 billion yuan, and 55 enterprises had an annual output value of more than 100 million yuan. The density of investment reached USD 1,000 per square meter, and the investment showed the characteristics of large investment scale, high technical level, balance between domestic and foreign capital, and balance between state-owned and private capital. Five pillar industries were formed in this zone.
