An important core zone and mark zone of Binhai New Area

Introduction

TEDA Middle Zone was formerly known as Binhai New Area Textile Economic Zone. In July 2010, the administrative committee of Binhai New Area Textile Economic Zone was established; in August 2010, the construction of the zone was commenced.

In January 2014, Binhai New Area Textile Economic Zone became part of TEDA and was officially renamed as TEDA Middle Zone. It has a planned area of 58 square kilometers, including industrial area (including 22 square kilometers of the east expansion area) of 48 square kilometers and living area of 10 square kilometers. It makes efforts to build up the strategic emerging industries such as new materials, big health, and high-end equipment manufacturing and to form a characteristic industrial system of the zone.

So far, there are 243 registered companies in TEDA Middle Zone, with a total registered capital of 5.75 billion yuan; there are also 25 projects with signed agreements or under negotiation, including Mars Pet Food, Golden Bridge Welding Materials, Bloomage Sodium Hyaluronate, Gome E-commerce Operation Center, Macquarie Lege, and so on. The total investment is estimated to be 16.1 billion yuan, and the total output value is expected to reach 18 billion yuan after these projects are put into production.

It aims to realize an industrial scale of 10 billion yuan by 2022 and 50 billion yuan by 2025.

Power Supply

The current power supply capacity is 70,000 KVA. The power supply is a 110 KV substation for industry and agriculture. A 110 KV substation is under construction and is expected to be completed by the end of 2020. According to the long-term planning, six 110 KV substations and one 220 KV substation will be built.

Water Supply

The current water supply capacity is 25,000 ton/day, and it will reach 90,000 ton/day in the forward future.

Heat Supply

The gas supply of the industrial area of in this zone is from Dagang Power Plant. The current supply capacity is 200 ton/hour, and it will reach 375 ton/hour in the forward future. The supply pressure is 0.9 Mpa at the works and 0.6-0.8 Mpa at the terminals.

Gas Supply

The current natural gas supply capacity is 800,000 m³/day, and the gas supply pressure is 0.4-0.8 Mpa.

Sewage Treatment

The current treatment capacity is 900 ton/day. It will reach 20,000 ton/day in 2020 and 150,000 ton/day in the forward future.

Living Facilities

Apartments

Blue-collar and white-collar apartments of 100,000 square meters, with a capacity of 7,000 persons. The rent for two-person room is 1000 yuan/month, and that for four-person to eight-person room is 800 yuan/month.

Commercial Facilities

There are supermarkets, post office express, clinics and restaurants settled in the commercial district on first floor in residential building, which can meet the basic living needs of the tenants; the employee culture and sports center and the reading room are open to the enterprises in the zone.

The total output value of industrial companies with annual revenue of more than 20 million yuan achieved 2.676 billion yuan in 2019.
