A Special Session of 2026 International Forum (TEDA) on Chinese Automotive Industry Development: Embodied Intelligence as a New Frontier

On September 18, 2026, the Special Session themed "Embodied Intelligence as a New Frontier" of the 2026 International Forum (TEDA) on Chinese Automotive Industry Development was convened at the InterContinental Tianjin Yujiapu in TEDA.

Gathering diverse industry representatives, the conference held in-depth discussions on technological evolution, vehicle-machine collaboration, and supply chain ecosystems, tapping into growth opportunities for embodied intelligence to empower the automotive industry.

Kang Li, General Manager of  Marketing Department at Tianjin Yutian Technology Co., Ltd., a TEDA-based enterprise, delivered a keynote speech.He noted that Unitree Robotics had already been deployed across diverse business sectors as of 2022. The company will further expand automotive-related application scenarios moving forward.

Kong Liang, Co-founder of Tianjin Lonyu Robot Co., Ltd., a TEDA-based enterprise, delivered a keynote speech.He pointed out that embodied intelligent heavy-duty vehicles represent a crucial approach to resolving logistical challenges within factory complexes.

Shi Chunxi, Director of Marketing Operations of Atomrobot, a TEDA-based enterprise, delivered remarks.She expressed the hope that embodied intelligent robots will find wider applications across the automotive sector in the future.

The conference released the China Embodied Intelligence Industry Development Report 2026, which analyzes industrial opportunities and bottlenecks from multiple dimensions, and features a dedicated section titled "TEDA's Industrial Practice in Embodied Intelligence"  to provide a valuable reference for industry development.The section titled "TEDA's Industrial Practice in Embodied Intelligence" showcased the achievements of TEDA's embodied intelligence industry, and cited case studies such as Yutian Technology and Lonyu Robot, and summarized replicable industrial cultivation practices.

In the future, TEDA will continue to focus on the frontier of car tech innovation, leveraging regional industrial strengths, seizing opportunities in cross-industry integration, and building on momentum for cultivating the local smart innovation industry.
