On December 6th, 1984, the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) was established as one of China’s earliest development zones. Business Environment Equivalent to Its Global Peers
Back in 1985, TEDA innovatively came up with the idea of “creating a business environment equivalent to our global peers” and put it into action immediately. To keep in line with global standard, TEDA adopted unified extra-high requirements for infrastructures by promising “Nine Availables and One Leveling” to investors. Specifically, “Nine Availables” means the readiness of road, water, drainage, electricity, steam, heating, gas, postal and telecommunications, and broadband networks, while leveling refers to the leveling of ground surface. Such high-standard infrastructures sufficiently ensured the construction, production and day-to-day operation of global investors. In 1992, Motorola and Master Kong decided to locate their plants in TEDA, followed by GM, Samsung, Panasonic, SEW and other global giants.
