Rianlon Lays Foundation for Its First Overseas R&D and Production Base in Malaysia

Recently, Rianlon Corporation held the groundbreaking ceremony for its R&D and production base in Malaysia. This project marks Rianlon's first overseas R&D center and production facility, with a total investment of $300 million. It will focus on the research, development and global market application of anti-aging materials, lubricating materials, and bio-based materials, aiming to provide solutions for global polymer materials and lubricant customers. The R&D center and the first phase of the production facilities are scheduled to be operational by the first quarter of 2027.
In recent years, Rianlon has been actively advancing its strategy to go global. In June 2025, with the support of the One-Stop Overseas Service Base for Northern China (TEDA) , the company efficiently completed the overseas site selection analysis and foreign investment filing process, ultimately choosing Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia, as its first overseas destination. "Through the Business Welcome Center of TEDA, we gained accurate and timely access to critical local information in Malaysia, including legal, tax, and regulatory details, as well as extensive resource support," said Xie Jintao, Vice President and Board Secretary of Rianlon. He emphasized that TEDA's systematic and professional services effectively cleared the initial hurdles for the company's cross-border investment, ensuring the efficient progress of the project from filing to site selection.
The smooth advancement of Rianlon's R&D and production base project in Malaysia exemplifies the practical implementation of TEDA's full-chain outbound service model. Moving forward, TEDA will continue to refine its international service system, build a more robust platform to support companies' global expansion, and help more outstanding enterprises expand their business worldwide.
