Nestlé’s New Production Line Goes into Operation in TEDA
Recently, the global food giant Nestlé officially launched a new high-end production line for pet wet food cans in TEDA, while the new products of the Fancy Feast series under Nestlé Purina were also released at the same time. This new production line marks Nestlé's first localization of pet wet food production and is an important strategic advancement for their layout in the high-end and ultra-high-end pet food market in China. With the completion of this production line, Nestlés’ Tianjin factory has achieved comprehensive layout of mainstream pet food categories.
TEDA (Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area) was one of the first investment destinations of Nestlé upon its entry into China, and it is also one of its most important business hubs in the country. Currently, Nestlé has two factories, four production bases, one product innovation center, and one quality assurance center located in TEDA. Since 2020, Nestlé has continuously increased capital in Tianjin, with a total amount exceeding 1 billion yuan. Zhang Xiqiang, Executive Vice President of the group, Chairman and CEO of Greater China Region, expressed Nestlé’s unwavering confidence in the Chinese market and stated that they will continue to increase investment in Tianjin in the future.
