Two Major Projects of Germany’s GRAMMER Group Settle in TEDA
On the eve of the opening of the 7th World Intelligence Congress, the TEDA Administrative Commission signed an investment cooperation agreement with Germany’s GRAMMER Group. Two projects, GRAMMER Vehicle Interiors (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. and GRAMMER Vehicle Components (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., have officially settled in TEDA. GRAMMER Vehicle Interiors (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. was registered and established in TEDA in 2004. It mainly produces products such as commercial vehicle driver seats and electric control armrests. The newly established production base, which landed this time, has an investment of over 120 million yuan, and it will further expand the company’s production scale. GRAMMER Vehicle Components (Tianjin) Co., Ltd.’s passenger car seat project is jointly invested and constructed by GRAMMER Group and FAW-Jiefang, a subsidiary of China FAW Group Corporation. This project, with an investment of 157 million yuan, will build an intelligent production line for high-end passenger car seats to provide support for FAW-Volkswagen’s related vehicle models.
GRAMMER AG was established in 1880 and is a well-known multinational company specializing in commercial vehicle seats and passenger car interiors. It has 46 subsidiaries worldwide and production bases in Beijing, Tianjin, Changchun, Shanghai, and other cities in China. Its main customers include industry giants in the commercial vehicle sector such as Caterpillar, John Deere, and Kion Group, as well as top-tier passenger car manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi.
