European Testing Giant Establishes Northern China Headquarters in TEDA
Recently, TEDA Administrative Commission signed a cooperation agreement with a Spanish multinational company Applus+. The group will invest in and establish its regional headquarters for North China in TEDA East. The main business of this project is third-party testing, inspection, and certification services. It will provide services to industries such as chemical new materials, auto and high-end equipment manufacturing, next-gen information technology, as well as government and public transportation agencies. The business coverage will extend to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, as well as provinces such as Henan, Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Gansu.
Founded in Europe in 1907, Applus+ is among the top ten global players in the testing industry. In 2007, it established its China headquarters in Shanghai, providing digital solutions to clients in over 70 countries and regions worldwide. Liu Kai, the General Manager of Applus+ China, stated that setting up the northern China headquarters in TEDA is an important step in the group’s strategic planning. TEDA’s prominent location advantages will help the company further expand its presence in the northern China market. Currently, TEDA has gathered several leading domestic and foreign companies in the testing field, such as SGS, and Tianjin Guona Product Testing Technical Services Co., Ltd., and has attracted several inspection and testing institutions like Mid-Link Technology Testing Co., Ltd. to establish their presence in the area.
