The Inaugural Tianjin Juilliard Piano Festival Takes Place
On July 30th, the first Tianjin Juilliard Piano Festival, co-founded by Tianjin Juilliard School and TEDA Administrative Commission, officially took place. Young artists, teenage students, and short-term trainees from both China and abroad gathered at Tianjin Juilliard School. From July 30th to August 13th, a series of concerts, master classes, and lectures will be held during the festival. On the eve of the opening, a series of welfare event were released for the public, offering free reservations for 29 on-campus events, including student solo concerts, master classes, and lectures. Additionally, four online live concerts and two outdoor concerts were held to invite the public to experience piano art up close.
Tianjin Juilliard School is the first overseas cooperative education project of the Juilliard School in New York over its century-long history. Since its establishment, it has not only enhanced the attractiveness of TEDA but also brought an international artistic atmosphere. The Tianjin Juilliard Piano Festival is one of the top ten cultural and tourism events throughout the year of 2023 in TEDA. It will help the school attract more top domestic and foreign artistic talents and musical resources, allowing musicians from all over the world to experience the beauty of Binhai City and Tianjin immersively. The aim is to transform the core area of Binhai City into a nationally renowned “Musical Zone.”
