Concentricus Establishes High-Performance Polymer Material Production Facility in Nangang Industrial Zone

On August 18, TEDA Administrative Commission signed an investment cooperation agreement with Concentricus PTE Ltd. from Singapore regarding a high-performance polymer material project. Concentricus possesses extensive experience in chemical technology R&D, particularly in the field of high-performance polymer materials, where it holds a world-leading position. Leveraging its abundant resources in the overseas petrochemical industry, the company will establish a high-performance polymer material production facility in the Nangang Industrial Zone of TEDA. This project has a total investment of 2.1 billion yuan and, once completed, it will fill the gaps in domestic polymer materials industry.

The Nangang Industrial Zone is the sole carrier for the high-quality growth of the petrochemical industry in Tianjin. It has already formed a cluster of over a hundred projects, including Sinopec’s ethylene project, Bohai Chemical’s new materials project, Sinopec & INEOS ABS project, the SSTPC New Materials Park, Shell Lubricants, Nouryon’s peroxides, and Taiwan-based Loyal Group’s polystyrene, among others. Currently, TEDA is making every effort to construct the Nangang Science and Innovation Center and the pilot scale experiment plant. These moves will further promote the deep integration of industry, university, research and application, providing a broader stage for business development.
