Mars Pet Food Tianjin Factory Officially Starts Production in TEDA

On May 15, Mars Pet Food Tianjin Factory officially started production in TEDA. It is one of Mars’ largest and most advanced modern pet food factories, with a total investment of nearly 1 billion RMB and an area of 110,000 square meters. The Tianjin factory primarily focuses on the R&D and production of a diverse range of pet foods, including dry food, wet food, and treats. Once fully operational, the factory’s annual production capacity can exceed 250,000 tons. Currently, the dry food production line has successfully started, and the treat production line is expected to begin operations in the second half of the year. Future plans include further investments to introduce a wet food production line, which will further enhance and upgrade the pet industry chain in TEDA.

In recent years, the pet industry in TEDA has developed rapidly. It is now home to leading gaints such as Mars, Nestlé, and Ringpai, and holds a national leading position in high-end pet food, pet healthcare, and pet-related new technologies.
