Thrilling! 2024 Dragon Boat Championship in TEDA Yu-Xiang

Dragon Boat Festival, the traditional Chinese holiday on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, will fall on June 10 in 2024. On June 2, the 2024 Tianjin Binhai New Area Dragon Boat Championship started at the Haihe River in the Yu-Xiang (Yujiapu-Xiangluowan) Area of TEDA. The event featured 37 teams and over 800 athletes from various districts and towns in Binhai New Area, celebrating the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival.

The annual event, hosted by the Tianjin Binhai New Area People’s Government and organized by the Tianjin Binhai New Area Education and Sports Bureau, TEDA Administrative Commission, and the Tianjin Binhai New Area Labor  Union, is a sports festival that preserves Chinese cultural heritage and showcases the city’s image. It attracts an increasing number of citizens, allowing them to enjoy water sports close to home.
