Themed on “Building on the Extraordinary Twenty Years & Working Together for a Shared Future”, the forum stuck to its role as a think tank and gathered government officials, industry experts, and business executives together. During four days of intensive communications and exchanges, participants engaged in all-round and multi-perspective strategic and forward-looking discussions and dialogues and worked together to provide insights and suggestions for fostering new quality productive forces and promoting high-quality industrial development.
IFCAID has been successfully held for 20 consecutive sessions, earning the reputation as “the wind vane for the development of the automotive industry” and “the Davos of the automotive industry”. Since the inception of its partnership with TEDA in 2005, the forum has not only contributed a wealth of advanced research outcomes to the automotive industry but has also empowered TEDA’s growth, serving as a shining symbol of TEDA’s automotive industry.
As a major hub of China’s automotive industry, TEDA is home to 4 mega carmakers and over 200 auto component and service providers. TEDA witnessed RMB 168.2 billion of the output value of its automotive industry and rolled out 803,500 cars in 2023, boasting a fully-fledged auto industry chain ranging from vehicle design and R&D, engine, transmission, car body & chassis, interior & exterior, to auto electronics. As its automotive industry accelerates transition towards electrification, intelligence, and connectivity, in recent years TEDA has been vigorously supporting vehicle manufacturers in introducing new models, accelerating the cultivation of core component enterprises such as battery and chip manufacturers, and proactively building an automotive electronics industrial park to create a safe, controllable, and more resilient automotive industry chain.
