FAW Toyota Hydrogen Truck Project Goes into Operation
On August 8, FAW Toyota held the launch ceremony for its hydrogen truck project at its factory in TEDA. The hydrogen trucks introduced in this project boast several advantages, including zero emissions, long range, fast refueling, and low noise levels. These trucks can operate up to 1,200 kilometers per day and are expected to reduce carbon emissions by 252 tons annually. Additionally, they feature comprehensive upgrades in safety, handling, and comfort, providing strong support for TEDA’s ongoing efforts to advance the development of the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry.
As one of China’s first National Demonstration Bases for New Industrialization in the automotive sector, TEDA has established a robust ecosystem with leading automakers such as FAW Toyota, FAW-Volkswagen, Great Wall Motors, and Geely Farizon as its core. More than 200 enterprises specializing in components and related services have also gathered in the area, forming an automotive industrial chain that spans vehicles, specialty vehicles, key components, automotive equipment, materials, and automotive services.
