Sinopec Catalyst Tianjin New Materials Production Base Sees Another Unit Commence Operation

Recently, Sinopec Catalyst (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. successfully commenced production of its 200-ton/year spherical polypropylene catalyst and 500-ton/year carrier unit in the Nangang Industrial Zone of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area. The unit adopts a complete set of proprietary process technology developed by Sinopec, with world-leading system of enclosure and automation. Their product, the spherical polypropylene catalyst, meets the differentiated market demand for high-performance polypropylene materials.

The Tianjin New Materials Production Base Project of Sinopec Catalyst (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. is one of the key collaborative projects between Tianjin and Sinopec Group. As a crucial supporting facility for the Nangang Ethylene Project, it involves a total investment of 6.5 billion yuan. The project primarily includes the construction of production units for polyolefin catalysts, silver catalysts, and related auxiliary facilities, bridging the gap in Tianjin's refining and chemical catalyst industry.
