TEDA Adds Two National Top-Tier Smart Factories
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently announced the list of 2025 Excellence-level Smart Factory. Two companies in TEDA, Otis Elevator (China) Co., Ltd. and Nestlé Tianjin Co., Ltd., were included in the list, accounting for one-quarter of Tianjin’s total.
The Excellence-level Smart Factory is one of the highest national honors in the field of smart manufacturing. To be recognized, enterprises must make intelligent applications used in “ full-chain, full-dimension, and full-scenario”, namely in factory construction, R&D design, production operations, production management, and operational management. The selection of Otis and Nestlé highlights their long-term committment and profound strength in the digital and intelligent transformation in the manufacturing industry.
In recent years, TEDA has fully leveraged its leading role in driving the digital transformation of manufacturing, providing comprehensive, full-cycle, and all-element support for enterprises. To date, it has nurtured three Excellence-level Intelligent Factories, 29 Advanced-level Intelligent Factories, and 37 Basic-level Intelligent Factories, forming a systematic and multi-tiered system to nurture smart manufacturing at different levels. Moving forward, TEDA will continue to deepen the gradient cultivation of intelligent factories, accelerate the industrial application of core technologies such as industrial software, smart sensors, and digital twins, while promoting the replication and adoption of advanced technical solutions and management models from role models among small and medium-sized companies. This will support more enterprises in achieving digital and intelligent transformation.
