Another Billion-Dollar Project in TEDA Breaks Ground
Recently, Tianjin NHU Materials Technology Co., Ltd. kicked off the pile construction for its first phase of the new materials industry chain project. As a key project in Tianjin, the NHU project is located in the Nangang Industrial Zone of TEDA, with a total investment of about 10 billion yuan and a total land area of about 380,000 square meters. It will build production facilities for adiponitrile, hexamethylenediamine, and nylon, as well as supporting auxiliary production facilities. The project will use NHU’s proprietary patent technology to create a key intermediate and high-end nylon new materials industry chain of adiponitrile - hexamethylenediamine - nylon 66, which will break through the technological barriers of key intermediates in nylon production, and extend the nylon high-performance materials industry chain of both upstream and downstream in the region.
As the key destination for the high-quality development of petrochemical industry in Tianjin, the Nangang Industrial Zone is accelerating the construction of a world-class green chemical new materials base. It provides strong support for the implementation and advancement of major projects with its advantages in raw material supply, logistics support, industrial clusters, and park services. In the first half of this year, the Zone has promoted the signing and implementation of six projects, including Power Construction Corporation of China and RAMPF New Materials, with a total investment of about 8.2 billion yuan. Fourteen projects, including Capchem and Pisen Phase II, have started trial production and operation, and 11 projects, including CNOOC Research Institute and Linggas Phase II, have started construction. After the NHU project is put into production, it will achieve closer cooperation with upstream and downstream enterprises in the park, injecting new impetus into the improvement and high-quality development of the petrochemical new materials industry chain in TEDA.
