China's Most Advanced Pilot Platform for Oilfield Chemicals Commissions in TEDA
On September 23, the Technology Transfer Center for Oilfield Chemicals (Tianjin) of Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Engineering commenced operations in the TEDA Nangang Industrial Zone. The center serves as the nation's most advanced and fully-equipped pilot-scale R&D and technology transformation platform for oilfield chemicals, boasting dedicated facilities for scientific research, quality control, lab-scale experiments, as well as pilot-scale production via polymer polymerization, liquid synthesis, emulsion polymerization, solid-phase reactions, and kneading reactions. The project will create synergistic effects with other pilot base institutions in Nangang, such as the Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry and the Research Institute of Petroleum Processing, further enhancing the entire technological innovation ecosystem of oil extraction, refining and chemical processing. It will provide crucial support for the construction and improvement of the technological innovation systems of SINOPEC Group, TEDA, and even Tianjin Municipality.
Currently, Nangang is fully committed to creating a fully functional innovation carrier that integrates technology innovation buildings, experiment centers, and maturation bases. By planning eight high-standard new material pilot bases, it aims to deeply combine the industrial chain with the innovation chain, striving to build a domestic high-efficiency converter for chemical research and development achievements. This effort will further support the construction of Nangang's world-class chemical new materials industrial cluster.
