Yuantian Biotechnology's Bio-enzymatic Regenerated PTA Project Lands in TEDA

On September 28, Yuantian Biotechnology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony with the TEDA Administrative Commission, marking the launch of the bio-enzymatic regenerated PTA project. With a total investment of approximately 150 million yuan, the project will utilize advanced bio-enzymatic regeneration technology to establish an industrial chain for waste textiles, rPTA/rEG, rbPET and regenerated fibers.It will not only lay the technical foundation for the subsequent construction of a 100,000-ton annual bio-enzymatic regenerated PTA production line and R&D center but also drive the high-value, green transformation of the PET recycling industry, contributing to the development of a regional green circular economy.

Yuantian Biotechnology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. was established in TEDA in 2022. It is the first company in China to achieve commercial implementation of bio-based regeneration and the first national tech-based small and medium-sized enterprise globally to receive GRS certification for its bio-recycling technology. The company focuses on the research, development, and industrial application of bio-enzymatic regeneration technology for waste PET plastics, with its products widely used in food packaging, textile fibers, engineering materials, and optical devices.
