Vestas Launched New Nacelle Project in TEDA
Recently, Vestas Wind Technology (China) Co., Ltd. held the launch ceremony for its EnVentus™ MK1 nacelle project in TEDA. This marks the official commencement of production for the nacelle, which will further enhance Vestas' industrial chain layout in China and contribute to the development of TEDA's new energy and high-end equipment industries.
Vestas has introduced a new generation of advanced modular design onshore wind turbines,the 7.2MW MK1 series,on its EnVentus™ platform. In line with its global manufacturing strategic plan, Vestas has chosen its Tianjin base, located in TEDA, to commence production of this series, with mass production expected to be achieved by early 2026.
Michael Balvers, Senior Vice President of Vestas Global Nacelle Manufacturing, stated that Vestas will continue to fully leverage the technological, production capacity, and supply chain advantages of its manufacturing bases in China. He added that the company will further strengthen its commitment to China and Tianjin, contributing to the high-quality development of TEDA's renewable energy industry.
