Shanghai-Hebei Taiwan Enterprises Association Entrepreneurs’ Binhai Tour Event Held in TEDA

On October 29, the 16th Tianjin-Taiwan Economic Development and Cooperation Fair opened in Tianjin, bringing together over 800 representatives from various sectors across the Strait to discuss economic, trade, and development opportunities. As part of the Fair’s series of activities, the Shanghai-Hebei Taiwan Enterprises Association Entrepreneurs’ Binhai Tour was held on October 30 in TEDA, aiming to deepen economic and trade exchanges between Tianjin and Taiwan and promote more practical cooperation. Representatives from Taiwan enterprise associations in Shanghai and Hebei, as well as entrepreneurs from sectors such as biomedicine, food, freight logistics, and education, attended the event.  

At the event, an official from the TEDA Steering Office of Investment Promotion presented an overview of TEDA, highlighting its economic development, industrial layout, business environment, and government services, which received widespread attention from the attendees. As one of China’s national-level development zones with the largest economic scale, the highest globalization level, and the best comprehensive investment environment, TEDA is home to numerous multinational corporations and innovative enterprises. Taiwan-invested enterprises are important witnesses and participants in TEDA’s development. Currently, over 100 Taiwan-invested enterprises have established factories in TEDA, covering key sectors such as next-generation information technology, food, new chemical materials, automobiles, and high-end equipment. Many well-known Taiwan enterprises, including Hongfujin, Tingyi Holding Corp., Namchow Group, Minth Group, and Taiwan Loyal Group have gathered here, contributing to regional economic development and industrial upgrading.  

Additionally, the delegation visited Tingyi Holding Corp. and Namchow Food Group to gain an in-depth understanding of the successful experiences of Taiwan-invested enterprises in TEDA and experience firsthand the area’s high-quality industrial environment. This event established a precise and efficient platform for business networking and government services, deepened participating enterprises and institutions’ understanding of TEDA, strengthened economic and trade cooperation between Tianjin and Taiwan, and helped foster broader and deeper collaboration in TEDA.
