Number of TEDA Tech SMEs in the Database Exceeds 1,400

Recently, the Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Bureau announced the seventh batch of tech-based small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) included in the 2025 database. As of this batch, the total number of TEDA tech SMEs entered into the database in 2025 has surpassed 1,400, marking an approximately 80% increase compared to 2020, with a net addition of over 600 enterprises. In terms of industrial distribution, the listed SMEs span strategic emerging sectors such as next-generation information technology, high-end equipment, biomedicine, and new energy & new materials. Among them, many have grown into "hidden champions" in niche fields and serve as crucial reserves for cultivating high-tech enterprises, fully reflecting TEDA’s continuously efforts in innovation vitality.
The cultivation of tech SMEs has always been a key focus of TEDA’s efforts to enhance regional innovation capacity. TEDA has introduced specialized policies covering multiple dimensions, such as R&D support, talent recruitment and training, and sci-tech finance, to address enterprises’ development needs, while continuously intensifying policy incentives. A "corporate steward" system has been established to provide one-on-one guidance tailored to challenges faced by enterprises in areas like certification applications, technological innovation, and market expansion. Additionally, TEDA has built platforms for industry-academia-research collaboration, making diverse innovation resources converge toward enterprises to bolster their core competitiveness. Moving forward, TEDA will further strengthen support for enterprise R&D and innovation, optimize the supply of innovation services, and drive high-quality development of enterprises.
