TEDA-Made China’s First Smart Inhaler Training Robot Debuts

At the China COPD 2025 conference, the nation’s first smart inhaler training robot, developed by TEDA-based MedOranger Digital Therapy (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., was officially unveiled. This marks a critical breakthrough in digital therapeutics for chronic respiratory diseases in China.

Inhalation therapy is a core treatment for chronic respiratory conditions such as COPD and asthma. However, approximately two-thirds of patients are unable to master proper inhalation techniques, preventing medication from effectively reaching the lungs and significantly compromising treatment outcomes. The smart inhaler training robot launched by MedOranger Digital Therapy innovatively integrates medical-grade sensors, real-time visual feedback, and artificial intelligence technologies. It provides patients with quantifiable, interactive, and immersive medication training. The robot has already been deployed in hospitals across 18 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions nationwide.
