PipeChina Launch Two Key Projects in TEDA
On November 26, the Tianjin Operations Center of PipeChina commenced operations in TEDA, and an agreement of intent was signed between TEDA and the PipeChina Research Institute for the Scientific Testing Base project. The launch of these two projects fully demonstrates PipeChina’s strong commitment to establishing roots in Tianjin. This collaboration will further deepen cooperation in strategic emerging industries, technological research and development, energy infrastructure construction, and gas supply security, driving the energy pipeline transportation industry toward higher-end and smarter development.

The newly operational Tianjin Operations Center will fully support the production and operational activities of PipeChina’s five secondary units in Tianjin, building a comprehensive energy pipeline transportation industrial chain that spans infrastructure, storage and transportation, technical R&D, and customer services. Additionally, leveraging Tianjin’s strategic location and its role as an energy hub in the Bohai Rim region, the center will focus on creating a collaborative and efficient energy operations system, providing robust support for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

The PipeChina Scientific Testing Base project, with a total investment of 7 billion yuan, will focus on core functions such as innovation and R&D, testing and verification, achievement incubation, international exchanges, and talent cultivation. It aims to become a flagship for PipeChina’s scientific and technological innovation, a source of original technologies, and a globally influential hub for innovation in the pipeline transportation industry. Furthermore, the base will fully utilize Tianjin’s comprehensive advantages in talent reserves, university resources, and an innovation-friendly ecosystem to build a collaborative innovation community between central enterprises and local entities, contributing to the upgrade of the regional energy technology industry.
