TEDA Hosts Special Event on "AI + Manufacturing" in Beijing

On December 9, TEDA held an event in Beijing themed on “Unveiling a New Chapter Powered by AI: ‘AI + Manufacturing’ in TEDA. ” The event centered on the transformation achievements of the 14th Five-Year Plan period and laid out plans for the new development landscape of the 15th Five-Year Plan. Participants engaged in discussions on how artificial intelligence can empower key industries such as automotive, equipment, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals, jointly mapping a new blueprint for the intelligent upgrading of industries in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

Through authoritative policy interpretations, best practice sharing, and the release of significant achievements, the event comprehensively demonstrated TEDA’s commitment and pathways to promoting the deep integration of "AI + Manufacturing." During the event, TEDA-based companies, including FAW-Volkswagen, Nestlé, Otis, and Asymchem, shared their pioneering practices in areas such as digital-intelligent production, the construction of national-level smart factories, and comprehensive AI solutions for pharmaceuticals. Companies like Lonyu Robot and i-KINGTEC participated in roundtable discussions to explore development opportunities under the AI wave. The National Supercomputing Center in Tianjin also elaborated on pathways for empowering manufacturing with computing power.

During the event, the TEDA AI-Enabled New Industrialization Report was released. The report focuses on the region’s four major leading industries, stating eight distinctive transformation pathways. It innovatively proposes a "134" working framework and a roadmap of "Four Projects and Sixteen Actions," while simultaneously introducing the Cooperation Opportunities List, Typical Case List, and an enhanced policy toolkit. The event also showcased TEDA’s first batch of "Excellent AI + Manufacturing Cases" and witnessed the signing of multiple cooperation agreements.

As a leading national development zone, TEDA has systematically advanced intelligent manufacturing in recent years, with "digital-intelligent transformation" as its main theme. Cultivating 77 municipal or higher-level smart factories, it has been recognized as one of China’s top ten national-level digital transformation cases. Moving forward, TEDA will drive efforts across multiple dimensions, including strategic planning, scenario cultivation, pilot demonstrations, and matchmaking, to embark on a new journey in "AI + Manufacturing."
