Key Achievements Released Intensively: TEDA “Firefly Plan” Unveiled and Beijing-Tianjin AI Innovation Achievement Matchmaking Summit Held

On December 16, TEDA unveiled the “Firefly Plan” on the Beijing-Tianjin Artificial Intelligence Innovation Achievement Matchmaking Summit held here. Themed "Igniting Innovation with Intelligence, Shaping the Future with Creativity," the summit brought together representatives from universities, research institutes, technology companies, financial institutions, and industry associations in Beijing and Tianjin. Centering on the deep integration of "industrial chains, innovation chains, talent chains, and capital chains," the event facilitated comprehensive matchmaking across various dimensions. It aimed to foster the efficient convergence of innovative elements such as technology, capital, talent, and application scenarios, accelerate the transition of innovation achievements from "laboratories" to "production lines," and inject strong momentum into the high-quality development of the artificial intelligence industry in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

At the summit, the TEDA Action Plan for the Development of Embodied Intelligence Industry and several measures were unveiled to promote the high-quality development of the artificial intelligence industry. The Action Plan clearly states that by 2028, TEDA will attract and nurture more than 10 high-growth embodied intelligence projects, with industrial scale exceeding 18 billion yuan. Focusing on the two themes of "modernizing leading industries" and "industrializing future technologies," TEDA will strive to build itself into the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region’s hub for the embodied intelligence industry and Tianjin’s pioneering zone for embodied intelligence industry development. The several measures, meanwhile, provide comprehensive support for the development of the artificial intelligence industry across multiple dimensions, including technological research and development, enterprise cultivation, scenario applications, and factor guarantees.

A series of heavyweight projects were launched. The School of Artificial Intelligence at Tianjin University of Science and Technology announced the "AI+X" innovative talent cultivation plan, deeply advancing interdisciplinary integration in areas such as information technology innovation, biomedicine, and smart manufacturing. The "Tianhe Technology Innovation Fund" was officially launched. Jointly established by the National Supercomputing Center in Tianjin and CITIC Reform and Development Research Foundation, the fund will bring together leading enterprises in the new-generation information industry along with resources from upstream and downstream companies to jointly build an ecosystem for the new-generation information technology industry. The "TEDA Firefly Alliance" was inaugurated, and a plaque-awarding ceremony for its executive council members was held simultaneously. The alliance brings together artificial intelligence innovation forces from Beijing and Tianjin, establishing a crucial platform for regional collaborative innovation in the AI industry through resource sharing and coordinated cooperation.

A batch of innovative achievements was collectively released. Universities such as Nankai University and Tianjin University of Science and Technology unveiled cutting-edge technological achievements, including software experience intelligent agents and intelligent unmanned operation equipment. Companies such as AtomRobot and Zhilin Tianhe Technology introduced innovative products like fully self-developed humanoid robots and the Tianhe series of achievements. Enterprises like 712 Communications, Motimo Membrane Technology, and Cloudchain released application demands for AI in areas such as government communication, membrane industrialization upgrades, and digitalization of industry-finance integration. Companies including Inspur Metarnet Communication and i-KINGTEC shared practical cases of artificial intelligence implementation.

As the central area of Tianjin's advanced manufacturing and R&D base, TEDA currently has a scale of 130 billion yuan in the embodied intelligence industry, gathering nearly 30 related enterprises. This includes a group of leading companies in niche fields such as AtomRobot, Kawasaki Robotics, WYBOTICS, Deepinfar Ocean, obluesail, LONYU Robot, Ci-KINGTEC, and EFY Tech, forming an initial ecosystem for the embodied intelligence industry. In the future, TEDA will continue to optimize its innovation ecosystem with stronger support of different factors, empower industries with artificial intelligence, deepen collaborative innovation in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and contribute more TEDA strength to Tianjin's efforts in building a national advanced manufacturing and R&D base and cultivating new quality productive forces.
