Binhai New Area IPR Protection Center, Second in China to Expand Patent Pre-examination Service
The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) recently approved the Binhai New Area Intellectual Property Protection Center, located in TEDA Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park, to expand its patent pre-examination service scope. The service coverage has been extended from the administrative region of Binhai New Area to 28 science parks across Tianjin. This center is now the second national-level IPR protection center in China to expand its patent pre-examination services. The expanded services will provide fast patent pre-examination in the fields of high-end equipment manufacturing, biomedicine, new energy, etc. for major science parks, universities, and research institutions. Through pre-examination, the quality of application documents will be improved and high-value patent applications will be screened to provide crucial references for subsequent examinations. It will also significantly shorten the patent examination cycle, offering innovation entities both speed and quality guarantees.
