Over 70 Enterprises in Tianjin Gather in TEDA to Connect with 5G

More than 70 enterprises, including Tianjin 5G Development Alliance, Tianjin Telecom, Tianjin Mobile, Tianjin Unicom, Tianjin Jin Tong Iron Tower, Huawei, ZTE, Airbus, Tianjin University, FAW-Volkswagen Tianjin Branch, Great Wall Motors, Tianjin 712 Communication & Broadcasting and ikingtec, as well as representatives of financial institutions, universities and scientific research institutes, attended the event.

At the meeting, Jin Xianghua, deputy director of TEDA Administrative Commission, said that the new generation of information technology represented by 5G, AI, VR, etc., had integrated deeply with the manufacturing industry, which became an important driving force to promote the high-quality development of China’s economy. According to Implementation Plan Of Tianjin Municipal People’s Government On Accelerating 5G Development, TEDA further optimized traditional infrastructure, built high-speed, intelligent, safe and green next-generation information networks. TEDA East and TEDA Business District basically realized the continuous coverage of 5G signals, the construction of smart city began to take shape, and TEDA initially formed a information infrastructure system for the integration development of digital economy and real economy. At the same time, TEDA continued to optimize policies, improve supporting facilities, build platforms and improve services, so as to accelerate the transformation from “TEDA manufacturing” to “TEDA intelligent manufacturing”.

At the meeting, Tianjin Mobile signed contracts with 8 enterprises including Tianjin 712 Communication & Broadcasting, Tianjin Unicom signed contracts with 8 enterprises including Great Wall Motors, and Tianjin Telecom signed contracts with 6 enterprises including FAW-Volkswagen Tianjin Branch.

TEDA Administrative Commission signed comprehensive cooperation agreements with Huawei, Tianjin Radio and TV Station and ZTE.

TEDA Intelligent Technology company and ikingtec signed a cooperation agreement of 5G autonomous UAV smart city, signing a total of 28 projects on site.

At the same time, it showed the matchmaking and set up 5G service platforms for various industries online.
