World’s Largest Production Base of Black Materbatch Expands in TEDA

Recently, the giant of carbon black, Cabot, announced the final agreement had been signed to purchase Tokai Carbon (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. with 57million yuan, aiming to expand business in battery materials. “ The acquisition aligns with Cabot’s strategy of growing global leading role and the strategy of seeking favorable growth opportunity in high-increase and high-performance products such as battery materials.” President and CEO of Cabot, Sean Keohane said.

As a global multinational, Cabot established plant in TEDA in 2004 with accumulative investment of 250 million US dollars. So far, it has 2 companies in TEDA, including the only integrated production plant of carbon black and the largest production base of black masterbatch in the world.
